As part of the Yame tea export promotion project from Fukuoka Prefecture, we successfully launched a promotional initiative for "Yame Tea" in the United States in collaboration with Kettl, a specialty Japanese tea retailer operating in the Brooklyn and Manhattan areas.
In New York, the rising upscale dining scene has gradually increased the recognition of Japanese tea. Recently, more restaurants have begun to feature premium Japanese teas on their menus, generating significant anticipation for the expansion of this market.
This promotion welcomed numerous representatives from Michelin-starred restaurants, providing them with the opportunity to appreciate the high quality and flavor of Yame tea, as well as the dedication of its producers. Participants also gained insights into concrete methods for incorporating Yame tea into their restaurant menus.
