As part of Fukuoka’s initiative to promote Yame Tea exports, we organized a unique collaboration featuring "Yame Tea x Michelin-starred Chef James Kent of Crown Shy x Brooklyn-based Japanese tea specialty shop Kettl."
This event targeted industry professionals, including top New York chefs and beverage directors, introducing them to the distinct qualities and appeal of Yame Tea. The event highlighted Yame Tea as a non-alcoholic pairing option for fine dining, demonstrating its compatibility within high-end restaurant settings. This initiative offered attendees insights into Yame Tea’s potential as an alternative to traditional non-alcoholic drinks, enhancing its appeal and prospects in the U.S. market.
Japan boasts many remarkable teas from different regions. By emphasizing each tea’s unique qualities, strategic branding, and differentiation, we aim to elevate individual varieties within the broader green tea category, establishing them as standalone choices in the international market.
Note: This project was featured on TBS Television on January 26, 2023, at 18:38, showcasing the rising popularity of Japanese tea in New York and its pairing potential with American cuisine.
